Nice marina with helpful staff. Moorings available with launch. River inlet subject to shoaling. Marker 18 is adjacent to a very shallow area, we ran aground in sand 2 hours before low tide. Favor the green side of the channel. Closest shopping is 5 miles away but they have a delivery service of you plan ahead. Nice town beach near marina for dogs.

Anchorage is somewhat smaller due to newly installed moorings. Anchor close to the beach in 12-24' on the starboard side. TMobile 4 bars of 5G. Great beach to run the dog. Minor wakes from boats headed to moorings. No wakes from the Ferry!

There are roughly 12, yellow moorings managed by the town. They are free for the first night. Dinghy dock adjacent to the two story brick Town marina office. There is also a launch that you can hire for the first free night. Subsequent nights are $25 and include the launch fee. Also a dinghy dock is at the north end of the harbor, directly across from groceries and shopping.

Anchor in solid mud just south of the anchorage mark, close to the boat ramp. Jetty blocks most of the wakes. No wind protection. Strong current .5-1kt overnight. Leave room to swing. Shore & pet access on mainland using the boat ramp with docks and a small beach. Nearby Inn with restaurant. No other commercial buildings. T-Mobile has 2bars of 5G

We paused here but didn't anchor. There 14' of depth and tides rises 1-2'. The location is along the main fairway to town and adjacent to several private docks. Chatted with a local boater who mentioned this is in the middle of local boat traffic. Boaters should assess traffic and tides before anchoring.

Quiet anchorage with good holding and no wakes after sunset. Be aware that tugs with cargo use the ICW. Make sure you're well away from the channel. Very light current, wind protection. Limited pet access on a small strip of firm sand across from the anchorage.

Nice, deep anchorage with room to swing. Good holding in a sand bottom. Local boaters report the area is a party spot on the weekend because of shore access. Good walking trails. Currently home to one, very vocal rooster. Some wakes from bass boats but none from ICW. Limited T-Mobile connectivity.

We spoke with Capt. Suber and the dock immediately after the bridge, adjacent to the boat ramp is no overnight docking. Believe the signs. The dock further up Sister Creek is a 72 hour limit. The inside of the Sister Creek is shallow at low tide and there's a sunken vessel on 3/16/22.

    • WG Editor Comment:

Capt. Jim Suber is the dockmaster for the City of Jacksonville.

The marina is ok. The star review is related to their deceptive pricing scheme. We called and were told $1.70/foot. When we checked in, the price was $3.75/foot including a .25 cent Boat US discount. The (very nice) clerk said the lower price was effective if we rented a room. We would not have reserved had the price been clear. It's a shame because the town is very attractive but at the high rate we weren't staying an extra night.

    • WG Editor Comment:

Rate posted on the Waterway Guide listing is $4.00/ft or $1.70/ft with room reservation.
