It is very crowded and busy with tuna boats in
and out and all the business to A&J Boat Works which is at the end down a narrow canal. Be careful and watch depth as it isn't much over 5 ft out of center. Quiet at night, good breakfast at Whistle Stop on A1A. Try the Burrito if you're real hungry, big enough for two.

A great little spot. We spent four days on our anchor here with plenty of other boaters escaping the northern winter. Room enough for plenty of boats and folks were friendly. Plenty of good marinas and good restaurants/tiki bars but tough to get groceries from here. Blogging along the ICW at elizabethkelch.com

A lot has changed since dredging. The center area where everyone anchors is more shallow than I remember and new day markers have been installed making the swing room radius smaller. I mostly see 30 ft ish boats anchored here now. Also a smaller anchorage south of here where I see 20 ft ish boats.
