I've used this anchorage for years but it's tricky getting in since the western entrance to Caesars Creek only has 3.8 MLLW but with a 1.3 ft high tide, I can get my 4' 9" sailboat in without touching bottom. I closely follow a GPX route to get in which can be downloaded at http://bob423.com/gpx/BCaesars.gpx
We use the ranger station docks to take our dog ashore. I've met the ranger many times, he has a dog too that's friendly. Just pick up after your pet. There are picnic tables for your use if you desire.
