Enter the Corsica River and continue up to Red "4" staying mid-channel with no less than 11 feet MLW of depth. Leave R4 and head straight for the entrance to Emory Creek, leaving the Corsica Yacht Club mooring field to port on approach. There is 9 feet MLW at the anchor icon. We anchored in front of the icon with excellent wind, and wave protection from the west through the north an around to the southeast. Protection from the other points was good. We did experience a couple of fishing boats that passed close by as they entered and exited the creek, but it was not excessive. The anchorage was quiet and peaceful. Cellular service was poor for ATT and Verizon and good for T-Mobile with three bars and 20 mbps download speeds on our cellular gateway. There is no nearby shore access but, if you go three miles further up the Corsica River you will arrive at the boat launch in Centerville with restaurants, stores, and a supermarket. This is a great anchorage to spend an extra day or two relaxing.

Quiet location with a nice creek to explore by paddleboard.
