Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 44'
Draft: 4.0'Overall Rating:1This is no longer a transient anchorage. There were no maker bouys as we previously read. It is now fully private moorings and pilings. You may be able to squeeze one boat in if the draft is around 3' or less. The only spot we could find (we draw 4') was on the South end of Mason Island where the small fishing and pleasure boats exit to the southeast next to mystic river channel daybeacon 1&2.

If you go to the WG marker it gets skinny there. I believe there is a 7 day limit on the anchorage. You can have shore access by taking your dingy upriver to the dingy dock on the Red side of the river about 1000' before the highway bridge just behind the fire boat. Public washrooms are there in the park.

There are no longer buoys marking this anchorage. The green marked pilings are on the north side of a recently dredged channel to the east that has a control depth of 6 ft (MLW) and a width of 50 ft. The maximum depth of this anchorage is 5 ft (MLW) and can be shallower to the east.
