This review is for the mooring balls in the inner harbor operated by Gloucester harbormaster. Nice mooring balls in protected harbor. Busy working harbor so can be rolly from passing boats. Great instructions and communication from very pleasant harbormaster. Free(with mooring fee), prompt launch service with launch captains that know the area and give great tips on things to see. Very scenic harbor.

Second review: Only change is to wake protection. It seems that since the Nat Geo tv show, Wicked Tuna, became popular the arrogance displayed by those in commercial fishing has ratcheted up. We had been anchored in the back row for a couple days when one of the tv show stars nearly t-boned us as he cruised through the anchorage not looking where he was going. The number of commercial fishing boats is to be expected here. The wakings by these mostly guys happens around the clock was not expected. Especially sad was the childish way a crew member on one of the lobster boats made mockery of the boat names as they weaved through the anchorage.

Somewhat open to the SW but outer breakwall does reduce the fetch.
