1.0 miles south of the bridge, anchor off New York Sports Clubs Complex and Toys-RUs building. Convenient stop after long run up from Cape May or down the Hudson. Cell signal available.

Holding is great in the sand, but closer to the beach. Not much protection from wake of other boats. I'd opt to anchor close to the beach if staying for the day. Otherwise, this is a great spot for an overnight anchor.

Holding was great, though wave action had me rocking all night. There is a marina right nearby, but there's no access and they have no fuel. Like Skipper Bob says, great as a jumping off point going either direction.
