Review for Lock 1 Cutoff
Reviewed by: Capt. Mac Rubel, Cruising Editor on Oct 27, 2021

Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:1Holding:4Wind Protection:4Current Flow:4Wake Protection:4Scenic Beauty:2Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:3Pet Friendly:3At normal pool nobody would even think about going into this anchorage. It is an obvious trap to be avoided. At higher water levels it looks better and might be an enticement to some. There are people who have successfully anchored here but there are many stories about near disasters. Even in a small shallow draft vessel, it is best to avoid this place.
