The Miami Yacht Show 2020 is Bigger, Better and Bolder Than Ever

Editor's Note: On Presidents’ Day Weekend two shows will take Miami by storm offering the world's largest display of epic marine machines. New yacht debuts hailing from all corners of the world will make waves at Magic City’s premier luxury yachting event, Presidents’ Day Weekend, Feb. 13-17  at The Miami Yacht Show (Feb. 13 to 17) at 1 Herald Plaza this month showcasing some of the most extraordinary yachts from around the world.

Take a water taxi over to The Miami International Boat Show (Feb. 13 to 17), located on Virginia Key at the Marine Stadium, to catch a glimpse of some more extraordinary boats and marine technology.

Miami, FLA. – From the big game to big yachts, Miami furthers its allure as a destination for world-class events as the 32nd Annual Miami Yacht Show pulls into port Presidents’ Day Weekend with over 400 extraordinary and uniquely designed new and pre-owned yachts on display, including 15 spectacular, must-see new debuts.

Renowned as Magic City’s premier luxury yachting event, the Miami Yacht Show and its Superyacht Miami site showcase superyachts from the world’s foremost custom boat builders across three marina sites, transforming Downtown Miami’s waterfront into a yachting enclave.

The 2020 show will unveil some of the year’s most striking and luxurious new yachts, including the U.S. debut of SilverYachts’ 278-foot BOLD, the show’s largest superyacht; the world debut of Hatteras Yacht’s highly anticipated GT65; and the world debut of Monte Carlo Yachts’ MCY 70 Skylounge, the first model of the new MCY Collection, among others (full list below). Azimut Yachts will also showcase 18 yachts, including three U.S. debuts - the Azimut 78, Azimut S8 and Azimut Grande 32 Metri – as well as the world premiere of the Azimut Verve 47.

Expanding its international portfolio, which includes luxury yacht builders and brokers from over 32 countries, the Miami Yacht Show will welcome yachts from new exhibitors this year, including Australia’s largest luxury boat builder Riviera Yachts; Dubai-based Majesty Yachts, and Taiwanese shipyard Horizon Yachts. Italian shipyard Invictus Yacht is also making its U.S. debut at the Miami Yacht Show, introducing Invictus Yacht USA and the U.S. debut of its GT370 model at its first American boat show.

Miami Yacht Show’s Superyacht Miami, located on Island Gardens Deep Harbour Marina on Watson Island, which can accommodate yachts up to 400 feet, will be transformed into an exclusive destination displaying show-stopping mega yachts such as BOLD; 248-foot BELLA VITA by Lurssen; 163-foot MISS MONEYPENNY V by Overmarine; 164-foot HOSPITALITY by Westport Yachts; 161-foot HUNTER by Trinity Yachts; and 154-foot USHER by Delta Marine.

Other superyachts displayed at the Miami Yacht Show will include the 163-foot THUNDER YACHT by Oceanfast; the 100-foot RUTLI E by Benetti; and the 100-foot Mb3 by Hargrave. Miami entrepreneurs Norman Braman and David Grutman will also showcase their yachts at the show, including Braman’s 175-foot KISSES and Grutman’s 81-foot GROOT, which has hosted many of Hollywood’s most recognizable celebs.

With more than 15 new yachts at this year’s show; here is a look at what’s debuting:

BOLD | SilverYachts | U.S. Debut
BOLD is the fifth, largest and most recent superyacht by Australia’s premier luxury yacht builder SILVERYACHTS, harnessing the world’s leading fuel efficiency, and technical supremacy, defined by her predecessors. Working in collaboration with renowned yacht designer, Espen Øino, Silver Yachts showcases the unique flexibility of their efficient platforms. BOLD reveals aggressive styling, expansive interior and exterior spaces.

48 Wallytender X| Ferretti Group & Wally | World Debut
Hot on the heels of the world debut of the exciting new 48 Wallytender this autumn, Wally with Ferretti Group will reveal at the upcoming Miami Yacht Show the first unit of a new, fully powered outboard version of the cutting-edge Wally day cruiser. Combined with a dependable hull design and a light carbon fiber construction from the in-house experts at Wally and Ferretti Group, the result is impressive: high top speeds and very low consumptions for extended range. Preliminary sea trials have indicated maximum speeds in excess of 55 knots and a cruising speed of 40 knots with a range of 320nm.


Azimut 78 | Azimut Yachts | U.S. Debut
At 23.60 meters in length (77 feet) and with a beam of 5.75 meters, the Azimut 78 is bringing futuristic design and ultra-modern technology as the new flagship in the Azimut Yachts Flybridge Collection. The ultra-innovative Azimut 78 is part of the Carbon-Tech generation and the first Flybridge to be fitted with three Volvo IPS propulsion units. Alberto Mancini, who designed the sleek, futuristic exteriors, and Achille Salvagni, the creator of the sophisticated interior design, took up and won the challenge thrown down by the Shipyard to achieve the perfect balance between ever more dynamic lines and ever larger volumes. The yacht’s layout offers the utmost comfort and privacy, with the clear separation of crew and guest flows, and a highly versatile day area to meet the needs of contemporary owners.


Azimut Grande 32 Metri | Azimut Yachts | U.S. Debut
The Azimut Grande 32 Metri is avant-garde in every sense, not least because of the multiple unprecedented solutions that establish its right to a prominent position as one of the world’s most advanced and modern superyachts, or the advanced naval platform that is packed with technology: the combination of Carbon Tech, D2P® hull and wave piercer (which increases the length at the waterline by 1.8 meters), results in peerless consumption efficiency.


Azimut S8 | Azimut Yachts | U.S. Debut
The Azimut S8 exudes charm and develops the style codes expressed by Alberto Mancini in the Collection: modernity, power, design and sportiness, interpreted with the utmost elegance. Just over 80 feet long, she stands out for her highly innovative technology, combining the extensive use of Carbon Tech with a triple installation Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system to deliver undisputed benefits in terms of performance, quiet running, maneuverability, consumption and comfort. Features include four cabins on the lower deck, closed galley on an intermediate deck, the Main Deck concept is an alternation of lounge and dining areas, characterized by seamless continuity extending across the interior and exterior design. In the stern, the Pivoting Platform Expander system makes it easy to extend the swim platform. It carries an impeccable tech system.


Azimut Verve 47 | Azimut Yachts | World Debut
The Verve 47 was envisioned specifically for the American market, arriving on the scene as an emblem of the Italian Weekender: a fast and high-performance yacht, it is a vessel that will spark joy in any handler. Its second cabin lends itself well to longer stays on board, allowing guests to spread out in relaxing surroundings. This chic and sharp design rhetoric offers a winning combination of both super-cool looks, as well as a slick hull for outstanding performance on the water. Verve 47 comes equipped with quadruple outboard engines, thanks to which it is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 45 knots.


Navetta 52 | Absolute of Americas |U.S. Debut

Navetta 58 | Absolute of Americas |U.S. Debut

GT65 | Hatteras Yachts | World Debut

MCY 70 |Monte Carlo Yachts | World Debut
Part of the new MCY Collection is the MCY 70. Ranging from 66ft to 105ft, the MCY Collection combines sophisticated Italian design with cutting-edge technological know-how. After the launch of the second generation with the MCY 66, MCY 70 and MCY 76 offering brighter and larger volumes, among the unlimited customization options available. The shipyard’s ultimate goal is to offer a customized experience for each and any single client by creating models that are as unique as their owners.


Princess V55 | Princess Yachts | North American Debut
The striking all-new V55 features a sleek and dynamic exterior profile coupled with an intelligent use of space and all the exceptional performance qualities synonymous with our V Class range. Her main deck has been purposely designed for those who enjoy true open-boating. The expansive cockpit features a large L-shaped seating area with additional seating aft around a substantial folding teak table served by a wetbar opposite with electric barbecue.


Princess S62 | Princess Yachts | North American Debut
Powerful yet elegant, the new S62's sleek exterior styling presents a dynamic, agile stance. With an optimized hull form spearheading her efficiency, her MAN V8 1200 engines mean you can experience speeds up to 38 knots. When at anchor her electro-hydraulic bathing platform creates a convenient launch system for a 3.3m tender, a jet ski, or simply a secluded swimming platform. Her sociable galley aft arrangement features an open-plan dining area with sliding doors and a fully opening window leading out to the cockpit. Below deck, six guests are comfortably accommodated across an en suite full-beam owner's stateroom and two further guest cabins with the option of an additional crew cabin aft.


Rebel 40 |Sacs Marine | U.S. Debut
Rebel 40 ennobles all the subversive characteristics of the Rebel 47, in smaller dimensions. The design of the hull and the tubes expresses performances, safety in navigation and comfort, for a winning mix between the traditional boat and the RIB. Equipped with a deck worthy of the most modern boats, Rebel 40 offers a welcome on board with a wide bathing platform correlated by a comfortable sunbathing area, extensible with the folding backrest of the cockpit sofa. The kitchen modules and the table with L-shaped seating complete the cockpit area. The additional usable beam created by the ‘D’ shaped tubes, allows the wide lateral passageways that extend all the way to the bow area dedicated to sun and relax: two comfortable “chaises longues” and a soft sundeck furnish this area.


Sirena 58 Coupé |Sirena Yachts |World Debut
Luxury boat builder Sirena Yachts is proud to announce an all-new addition to the fleet, the Sirena 58 Coupé. The Coupé version augments the existing 58 lineup by providing a vessel with distinct characteristics, such as a lower air-draft, a unified interior space on the main deck, and a light and airy interior. The 58 Coupé is the direct result of Sirena’s response to U.S. customers who have expressed a preference for an “express” style yacht. Sirena’s existing 58 is already the most successful yacht in the builder’s portfolio.


Invictus GT370|Invictus Yacht USA|U.S. Debut
Invictus Yacht is participating for the first time in an American boat show. Distinguishing traits of the Italian shipyard are its considerable attention to detail, ever original style, and strong character that always delivers elegance. The boats designed by Christian Grande have won Italian and international awards thanks to their Made in Italy aesthetics and traits. 2020 is the right time to plan a dedicated marketing program in the US. Invictus Yacht is planning to exhibit the GT370, equipped with two petrol powered sterndrive Volvo Penta engines (430hpeach), in the most iconic color of the Invictus Yacht range, Vanilla Sea, combined with Cognac cushions. The GT Series, with models characterized by the reverse bow, is the Italian brand’s response to towners in search of the best in terms of style, comfort and performance.


Bertram 50 Express Yacht |Bertram Yachts |U.S. Debut
Offering a lower helm, two stateroom + two head layout, the Bertram 50' is ideal for boaters of all kind, and all regions. She offers an optional open or convertible design. The 50 pushes to be a little bolder, drive a little further, and stand up to anything the seas can dream up. Bertram Yachts dealer Denison Yachting will be displaying the boat at the 2020 Miami Yacht Show.


Krogen 44’ AE | Kaydey-Krogen Yachts | New Boat, Not A Debut

The Miami Yacht Show draws a global audience of 32,000 visitors and generates an estimated $486 million economic impact over the five-day event. A general admission ticket is $30 per day; a prime time preview ticket is $45 on Thursday Feb. 13; children 12 and under are free. Tickets to Superyacht Miami on Thursday, Feb. 13th, preview day are $125 and $100 all other show days. Superyacht Miami tickets also include access to Miami Yacht Show, yacht tender shuttle between the two locations and access to Art Wynwood.
