Meeks Patch East
- Location: Spanish Wells
- Lat / Lon: N 25° 30.895' / W 076° 46.754'
- Depth: 6+
- Description:
This is a good anchorage for South to West winds. Depths at MLW are 2-4 meters in deep sand with great holding. Tour boats from Spanish Wells do bring customers to see the pigs at the southern cove beach when winds are S to W, so expect some fast boats coming through. Exploration of the southern end showed underwater rocks with not much life. Very small scattered corals among the rocks with some juvenile fish. The smaller island to the SE houses two large picnic areas. Meeks also has some picnic tables
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
