Harbour Island Mainland Ferry Dock

  • Location: North Eleuthera
  • Lat / Lon: N 25° 29.458' / W 076° 39.747'
  • Depth: 9'-15'
  • Tide: 2.0'-2.5'
  • Description:

Anchoring off the ferry dock is a useful convenience for those picking up or dropping  off. From the ferry dock it is only a short taxi ride to the North Eleuthera airport which is the main gateway to this part of the island. Apart from the proximity to the dock, there is little additional benefit to this anchorage as the holding is only fair and the scenery is average.

Note: There are unmarked power cables laying exposed on the bottom north of the three islands adjacent to the anchorage. Caution is advised when setting anchor.

DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
