The western anchorage is well protected from prevailing conditions and offers a viable alternative for boaters who do not wish to enter the Sand Cay anchorage. Located at the mouth of the canal that runs through the middle of the group, the anchorage is easily accessible and offers good holding, provided you takes the time to locate a bowl of sand in which to set the anchor.
