Tom Curry Point
- Location: Little Harbor, Abaco
- Lat / Lon: N 26° 20.089' / W 077° 00.123'
- Depth: 6'-9'
- Tide: 2.5'-3.0'
- Description:
The anchorage west of Tom Curry Point is marginally better than the Little Harbour Outer Harbour anchorage because there is less swell, but there is also less water and the holding is not as good. In mild conditions it is a better choice for a day anchorage than the Outer Harbour Anchorage for waiting to enter the inner harbor, but it is not recommended as an overnight anchorage. Even in settled conditions the swells from Little Harbour cut will wrap around the point. There are better choices for overnight anchoring nearby.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
