  The anchorage immediately north and east of the entrance to Old Bahama Bay Marina is a very tricky one to use because despite being a very large area of water, only a very tiny portion of it is usable as an anchorage.

  The area that is suitable for anchoring begins about 300 yds east of the northeast corner of the seawall that surrounds the marina turning basin and continues as far east as draft permits. There are large grass patches that must be avoided to ensure good holding.
