Cayo Verde has good protection from all but the south. There are no restrictions on going ashore here, but the cay consists of mostly low rock covered with scrubby vegetation. There is, however, some reasonable snorkeling on small coral patches nearby, with a fine selection of fishes and some large lobster. See Waterway Guide Cuba for details on navigation and approaches.
