Hadlock Cove

  • Location: Eastern Way
  • Mile Marker: Little Cranberry Isl
  • Lat / Lon: N 44° 15.461' / W 068° 14.500'
  • Depth: 12-14 ft
  • Description:

Anchoring is possible outside the mooring area but the bottom here is covered with thick grass and often kelp. (Even more so toward the head of the harbor.) Setting a hook securely enough to handle relatively swift currents of reversing tides may require several tries.

DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
