Bull Island
- Location: Vineyard Sound
- Mile Marker: Hadley Harbor
- Lat / Lon: N 41° 30.715' / W 070° 42.220'
- Depth: 11-13 ft
- Description: Some shoals and rocks are located close to the shore, so skippers should feel their way cautiously and make anchoring allowances for shifting winds during the evening. Anchorage
should be avoided in any place where the channel is constricted. Public access is permitted on Bull Island, where picnic grounds are maintained during the season. Just take your dinghy to the small landing on the southeast corner of the island.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
