Pipe Creek - The Mice

  • Location: Northern Exuma
  • Lat / Lon: N 24° 13.746' / W 076° 29.421'
  • Depth: 8'-18'
  • Tide: 2.5'-3.0'
  • Description:

The Mice are a line of rocks that run parallel to Rat Cay, which forms the SE boundary of the Pipe Creek area. Between the south side of The Mice and the north Side of Rat Cay there is a deep tidal creek that offers good protection from all directions. The challenge with this anchorage is that it is relatively deep in the parts of the creek that offers the best protection from the wind, so two anchors may be required to reduce the amount of swing room required. The holding is good in sand.

DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
