The Pocomoke River begins as a corkscrew river through extensive marshes. It has deep water and winds its way inland. The marshes offer a variety of colors including many shades of green and brightly colored flowering trees and bushes. Upstream the marshes give way to cypress trees and next you are wending your way through a cypress swamp.
