To the west of the Exumas lies miles and miles of shallow green waters–the Great Bahama Bank. Many refer to this as the “Bank Side.” Routes along the Bank are well charted and heavily trafficked, but it is shallow in spots and will test your visual navigation skills. Expect sand bores and bars to shift so visual navigation is always a must. The recommended routes here are busy; keep your eyes out for other traffic.
