Stopped here to escape rough conditions, arrived 10 pm and tied at fuel dock. The new owner (fairly recent it seems) came out in the morning and was very welcoming. When we said we were leaving shortly he said fine, we didn't need to pay for a short night. He is rebuilding the facilities and seems dedicated to making it a nice marina again. Highly recommend it.

I was in this marina for nearly 20 years. The new owner is not a boater, doesn't want your business, and has alienated every customer, including the former resident yacht club, which had to close. I moved out. There are no services, no fuel, no pump out, and no reason for any boater to come here. Waterway guide should remove this marina from their listings. Take my word for it. Anchor out somewhere and grill a steak.

Called multiple times over the phone to find out about coming in for a pumpout. No calls were returned. We ended up anchoring at the Shannon Branch, less then a mile away.

White Point Creek, formerly White Point, is under new ownership as of September 2021. The new owner, Charles Love, seems determined to provide the friendly and competent service provided by the former owner, Rob Redfearn, who still lives next door. This is a safe secure marina with well protected slips for larger vessels with deep draft. Docking is easy, amenities are simple, but there is water, bathrooms, clean fuel and pump out services. A swimming pool (in season) and grilling area is on property. Mechanical and maintenance services are available and a railway handling fairly large vessels (maybe to 50') is on site. Fuel prices at present are less than any marina on the Chesapeake Bay (comparable to Top Rack south of Norfolk), so this is a good place for southbound cruisers to fuel up. There is also a 360 degree protected deep water anchorage less than a mile away for those who want to stay on anchor.

We stopped here for service 2 years ago and liked it so much we made it our home port.
The marina is very protected from weather but still very close to the Chesapeake Bay, with deep water access, clean fuel, and full service. We also appreciate how much Rob and his staff look out for us.

Easy access to and from the Potomac and Chesapeake. Friendly permanent slip holders made us feel welcomed. Clean restrooms and showers. Rob is great to deal with and will go out of his way to help visitors.
