We stopped here on our way home from a failed attempt to cross over to the Bahamas. What a pleasure to stop at a Marina that provides all the assistance needed to tie up safely. Another great feature about this Marina is it has the European Village within walking distance ( less than 15 minutes). Great choice of restaurants and entertainment. The Marina is very protected and quiet. Their diesel prices were $1 less than any fuel we had purchased. On the morning of our departure we were helped off the dock at our appointed time. I highly recommend this Marina but you definitely need to give them a call as soon as you decide because they fill up fast.

Anchored here overnight expecting winds to die down, just the opposite. Winds higher than expected steady east 15 with gusts 25+. Anchor held throughout the night. Room for at least 5 boats. We were here with 3 ( 2 mono 1 cat). Ponce light house clearly visible all night. Some wake from fast sport fishing boats but what would you expect from them. Didn't go ashore so couldn't rate those areas. I would gladly choose the Anchorage again whether outrunning the weather or just a safe quiet place to overnight.

Stayed here on May 26 with wife and grandchildren. Weather forecast was for light winds however they missed the 15-20 gusting 25+ out of the east and white caps that made the initial approach a little uncomfortable. Calmed down later that night and all slept well. Never saw less than 8' of water but we did have a blood moon during our stay. Can't beat the price $20 (honor system) for the night includes water and (30/50 amp) electric. They have a great park for children. Swings, open area to run, all types of gymnastic equipment to climb, hang upside down, etc. Restaurants and Wal-Greens within walking distance. Oh did I mention they have a spring boil and waterfall - beautiful place hidden on the St. Johns.

I have anchored in this location several times and have always found it to be consistent 9 feet. Be respectful of the property owners that align the shore. In this day and time not being respectful can and will lead to another anchorage being stripped from our use. I make sure I anchor east of the main channel.
