04/13/2023 The unmarked free dock is 10yds south of the feeder ditch and 50 yds or so from government docks which are posted as such. Only room for one boat, buy a great alternative to the crowded welcome center. Depth at dock was 8 feet but on approach seen 6 feet. Staircase up to road in state park. Dock is fixed only about 17 feet long. Two trash barrels on land. Some of the other reviews with the fence are not for this dock. That dock is just further up if your Northbound. The location on the Waterway guide map for this is closer to the government docks that are fenced.

This dock is 16.875 feet long, not 25 feet long. I measured. There is only space for one boat to tie up. There are stairs to the shore and trash cans there. Good place to explore the Lake Drummond Feeder ditch with your dinghy. A couple of people on land stopped to talk to us (one asking when we would go through the lock the next day and another asking where we put in), which was unexpected but fine.
