As mentioned before, a nice quiet stop along the canal. The lockmaster was friendly and helpful. There is one power pedestal. I believe it is primarily used by the canal barge moored by it. The lockmaster said it was fine to use it. Two 15 Amp plugs. No 30 Amp. The 50 Amp takes a plug that is used for a household dryer or stove. The lockmaster has tried to get it changed to a marine plug but no luck at this time. A short walk to the port a potty. There is nothing nearby to walk to, although the paved bike path is by the lock.

Stayed on west side of lock wall. No power but a very nice stay for 1 night. Lock master very accommodating & happy to see people use the wall. Quiet, no bugs as it was cool night but looked like new LED (street) lights installed on wall for security.

This is a very nice totally free stop. Long wall on south side of the canal West of lock 8. Wall has cleats and bollards to tie up. Nice quiet area with picnic tables and grills. Lots of grassy areas to walk the dog. Right by the bike path which provides really nice long walks. There is one 110 volt outlet. A little road noise. The lock masters are super friendly.

On 2019-06-05, we stopped at the long concrete wall on the south side at top of lock. There was one power pedestal but it would not work for our boat. There was lots of road noise until after dark. There was one porta-potty; no other amenities.

Very long dock with room for probably 10 boats. Lots of road noise, but it is free.
