Slips aren't labeled, couldn't reach anyone on VHR or phone but another boater helped us catch lines and he didn't know the dock numbers either. Short finger piers require stern in parking but our power is forward so we went bow in. Marina supplied us with steps to get on/off our boat. Bathrooms are really nice and restaurants, a brewery and pizza place are all within walking distance.

The entrance to the lock is immediately off the canal and is a super small lock. Beyond it is Roland Martin Marina along an equally narrow canal but there is a turn around basin.

We chose this marina based upon the fact that it's "west FL's best protected marina" when bad weather was coming in and they weren't wrong. So happy we chose this marina in addition to the fact that it has floating docks, an amazing restaurant, super helpful staff, $2/load new laundry machines, grassy area for pets and an Aldi and Walmart a mile away for provisioning. Huge individual bath/showers, in slip pump out. Highly, highly recommend.

Erin and her staff were instrumental in getting us into our slip in the DARK! Needless to say they stayed late to do so! One unisex bath/shower just off the boaters lounge which is perfect for a Cap'n Meeting, cards or potluck. Laundry is $1/load, restaurant on site is really good AND a courtesy car! If you need mechanic work, Midway Marine is responsive and affordable. Overall, I highly recommend Midway Marine.

Power pedestal isn't super close so hope you have a long cord. Bridal Falls is a short hike away and a neat site. The town is small and has a few shops, a chocolate candy store and museum. A possible alternative to Barefoot Landing if you can't get in. Slips appear narrow but I don't know as they were kind enough to let us stay overnight on the fuel dock and the dock hand was very kind in helping us tie up. The marina is located on the starboard side (if you're heading north) right after the swing bridge which opens on the half hour and just before the fixed bridge. Try to time it as there is a current to deal with but more importantly, be aware that barges go thru "the rockpile" too. We were fortunate to arrive just minutes before a barge came through. There aren't any inlets to hide in and at low tide it's going to be tight should you encounter a barge. Clean restrooms, didn't use the laundry facilities.

Only giving it three stars because of the congestion. It's nestled between a fixed bridge and swing bridge less than 1/4 mile apart. Combine that with the fact that it's right after the "rockpile" a very narrow passage (which also has barge traffic) and a somewhat swift current, it can be a bit of a challenge. The staff was kind enough to let us stay on the fuel dock which is good because the marina appears to be tight with narrow slips. With more experience we'll make this a stop primarily because of "Captain Archie's" which is a hoppin' fun place.

If you're looking for a "no frills" marina with that "low country" feel, this is your place. A little bit of a current but doable. Fresh fish is available just down the street at the fish market which has fresh catch of the day and minimal other sundries. A quick walk will get you to T.W. Graham & Co Seafood restaurant which again, is low key. We gave it a 3 out of 5 stars. The marina staff are friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back but with so many other locations to choose from, it might be a while.

I mirror the sentiments of the previous poster regarding the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They were extremely helpful with docking and leaving and I would be remiss to not inform you there is a pretty significant current which will make docking and leaving a bit of a challenge. The facility is maintained well and the courtesy car can get you to area grocery stores for an re-provisioning needed. There isn't anything walking distance from the marina so if you're looking for a quiet place for the night with helpful staff, this is your place but again be advised about the current.

This marina helped us when another marina where we had a reservation couldn't be reached vis VHF or phone once we got close. Because of impending weather, we had no choice but to backtrack an hour to Thunderbolt and I'm glad we did! The dock master was gracious enough to give us newbies an easy side-tie AND guided us in. I'm indebted to his kindness. Clean single sex bathrooms/showers, coin operated laundry ($1.50/load), courtesy car and small ships store make this a great stop if you understand this is an industrial marina not a tourist commercial stop.
