This was our second stay here. The big attraction is being right downtown. The dock is well maintained. Staff is helpful. The Staff cannot stop the local Sunday afternoon promenade as it is a public dock but it did not feel unsafe in any way but a surprise for us. We were on the outside and had a bumpy night with a southerly wind blowing 15-20 mph. It would be fine with wind from the east. The factories do run through the night

We used a new mooring ball. They are white with a white stand up collar on top that helps snag the line. We tied on with a very short bridle. On a weekday in April, the harbor was quiet, it was windy but not bumpy. The harbor master was enthusiastic and made sure I knew where to bring a dinghy for a shower or the head. He also suggested the dinghy dock at the end of the harbor for restaurant , and shopping. We look forward to returning during the summer

Stayed here overnight, transient dock is in the process of being upgraded. Check availability of power and water. Staff super friendly and excited about the improvements. Snooky's is a local favorite. For good reason. Bathrooms large and clean.

The dock hand was very helpful. Their main business is Sport Fish with lots of trash cans and cleaning stations. Easy on and off the transient dock parallel to the current. Town in 1 mile walk. Things to see: Rice Museum, Maritime Museum, Harbor Shop for embroidered items. Several good resturants.

The staff is top notch, they have sound advice while docking, and responsive to our needs during our extended stay. The courtesy car is new. The Bath house is immaculate and large cleanest I have ever been in. Laundry has large folding area and iron. The pool area is complete with a grill fire pit and tables beside a creek. The store has been recently updated. The staff always made us feel welcome and were responsive to our needs. Steve has great dining suggestions. This will always be our place to stay when in Charleston. The staff made it like home.
