What a great town, the people that live in around this area love love love the waterway. Very much enjoyed our stay at the small Marina the owner Tom incredibly nice guy, do anything he could for you. Adam owns a small canvas shop there on the dock and was able to help us with some small restitching things without waiting and very very reasonable. Can't speak highly enough about this place. We had the pleasure of staying right in front of a place called The filling station which they say is the five star dive bar, and I agree. Food's not great but the beer is cold and the music's pretty darn good and we could hear it from the back of our boat on the weekends, and that was something that we very much enjoyed. The little town was pretty nice, however we were somewhat disappointed as they had a water festival going on during our stay and we were not able to use the city dock for our dinghy because of the water festival which consequently kept us from participating and enjoying that festival to the fullest. Would stay there again no problem lots of services and shopping in the area, Tom offers a courtesy car and he also has a DIY shop, bring your own tools. By the way, I forgot to mention Walter, Tom's dog super friendly really nice had a great time.

Very nice Marina a little bit outside charleston. We chose it for the affordability and the comfort. Did get some waking there from small boats traveling the Stono River, but nothing unmanageable. The staff, Steve particularly, we're extremely helpful and hospitable. Has a loaner car which is a super plus. Will stay there again. There's also a lovely pool area that you can enjoy as well. Only reason it didn't get five stars was because of the conditions of the docks, they were good floating docks, would some of the screws were coming out and it made it a little more difficult for the pets to walk. The bath house is probably the finest I've seen. Clean, large and well air conditioned.

Great spot, cannot overstate it. If you like to step back in time to an old fishing village that has a very large shrimp fleet for the size of harbor that it is, pretty impressive. Quaint little town but don't come here to do a lot of shopping. Lacey the dock master is incredibly helpful and friendly, Chanler is a marine electrician who is in and around the area, very helpful with our AC problems, got us up and running so we could sleep, thank you! Will be back so the story goes.
