The NEW Guntersville City Harbor is awesome! There is an abundance of dock space, depth was in the high teens. We were on the T dock right in front of the dining and retail buildings. They have swings up on the Riverwalk pier along with shops, restaurants, a bar and a brewpub. There are still areas under construction, hoping they will offer more green space for walking pups. They have done a fantastic job in creating a riverfront area for water enthusiasts.

Great free dock with bathroom (no shower) and ice station. Nice launch park area to get a little exercise and walk the pups. Read no less than 7' on the port side of the channel upon entry. Didn't attempt to dine out. Had a quiet night on the boat.

There were a lot of weeds but there seemed to be less closer to shore. We anchored north of the pier even with the trees on shore. This is the only beach that actually has a designated dog beach. We dinghy near shore dropped anchor and waded in waist deep water.

Great marina with attentive staff. We took advantage of the courtesy vehicle service twice, staff members drive you where you want to go, this was a great help for provisioning. There is a Save-a-lot within walking distance and a really nice grocery that required a ride. There is a nice beach and park right next to the marina. The marina was well maintained and clean.

Marina shares a harbor with Sheplers Ferry service. The ferries don't slow down until they enter the break wall, so be careful when arriving and departing. Busy town full of activity. Staff was helpful with local knowledge. There are loaner bicycles. Several nice parks and beach accesses north of the marina. Had a great lunch at the Keyhole Restaurant, "where the locals go". Bought fresh fish at Kruegars, they also have smoked fish. Docks were in great condition.

We stayed on the concrete dock (A) with a great view of the sunset and all the folks that came to watch it. The docks have square post as well as cleats and were rugged but sufficient. They have nice loaner bicycles. The marina is surrounded by beautiful parks and a small but pretty waterfall an easy walk north of the marina.

Best diesel price around. 4 efficient dock hands working the pumps with boats waiting for a spot to fill up. Pump out priced at $30, yikes! No transient slips available but we saved hundreds of dollars on fuel.

Dock was in disrepair at the time but suitable for smaller vessels with a less than 4' draft. First come first serve docking. A Brewery patron came out to assist us. Use the town dock if you need more depth (dredged Fall 2021).
    Brewery hours of operation:
    Wed / Thur 2-7
    Fri 2-10
    Sat 12-10
    Sun 1-6
They have a limited menu so call ahead, Jeff the Brewer 315-868-2374. Captain says the beer was great! The park setting is beautiful and well maintained. The town has everything, see Frankfort Harbor Review.

This is a hidden gem, the harbor was dredged in Fall of 2021. So, there is plenty of depth now. The wall and floating docks are situated in a natural harbor at a quiet, beautiful, well maintained town park. There aren't any services here (-1 star). But, there is a micro-brewery with it's own dock with a depth of 4 ' right next to the town docks. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to the Brewmaster and local clientele. Frankfort has a grocery store, laundromat, bakery, post office, bank and pizzeria within walking distance. We will definitely return to this lovely spot again.

We stayed here for 2 months and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful people here. Costa is a wealth of knowledge with a huge warehouse full of parts and supplies. Anything we needed was either there or delivered next day. Costa does excellent work when you can get him. He helped us troubleshoot some major and minor issues from previous jobs and normal wear & tear. Margie in the office is a joy to work with. Our main concern was the water but they will have municipal water soon. We'll definitely come back to visit our new friends on a regular basis.

This is our home port. The staff is wonderful! This is a dog friendly marina. There is a large waterfront park just up the main road with public bathrooms. It is a great place to run your dogs or take children to a nice playground. The docks have been rebuilt and as of now there is still construction remnants. There are new commercial laundry facilities for $1.50 per machine and a change machine for quarters. Joseph's Italian Restaurant is open Monday-Saturday. The Rusty hook is open Wednesday-Sunday. So, there is always a place open to dine. The nearest grocery is Food Lion on Oak Island. Oak Island Beach is just over the bridge and has free public parking.

After hailing the marina we watched the Safe Harbour red shirted dock hands heading down the long dock to greet us and assist with docking. A local told us the primary dock is 1/4 mile long. The service and hospitality was top notch. There is a nice store and restaurant onsite. At the end of the gangplank there were steps on the right leading down to a grassy area to let the dogs off leash. We experienced a little rocking on the face dock from passing boats.
We provisioned at the Piggly Wiggly just a .7 mile walk with a local seafood stand and liquor store in route.

A very easy stop right on the river. There isn't a dedicated dock master. It takes a while to get anyone to answer the phone and hailing by radio is a waste of time. But once we got ourselves tied up it was a really nice place and dog friendly. You have access to the pool and laundry in the campground. There is a small fenced area for very small dogs. The onsite waterfront restaurant had great food and a fun atmosphere. Pump out at the slip was convenient.

We thoroughly enjoyed this stop at the end of our St Johns River cruise. What a beautiful riverfront town. They have taken full advantage of the waterfront with a bulkheaded walk way that extends for miles with pubic bathrooms along the way. Just a couple blocks up from the marina the main street has nice shops and restaurants. There are 2 restaurants right at the Marina.
There is a free trolley that goes all the way to the Sunrail Station if you want to take the train to Orlando super cheap. The Amtrak Auto Train leaves from Sanford and goes all the way to Washington DC if you want to transport you car to and from FL.
There were several places to walk the dogs and a couple places were off leash safe for a good run.
We got the feeling they didn't have many transients. We ended up in a slip with only 30 amp service and had to run the generator a little each day. But, a $1/foot we didn't care. This is worth the trip.

This is a great anchorage next to the Cumberland Island National Park Sea Camp. Pay $10/person for a week of access to the park. Dinghy in to the opposite end of the Ferry dock. We took our dogs across the island via an Oak shaded trail to the beach every day. If the tide is low you can take them off leash. This park has so much to offer, historical ruins, wild horses, walking trails and a gorgeous beach. To avoid the crowds, time your visits opposing the disembarking Ferry. There is plenty of room for several boats to anchor. We were in front of the second to last dock.

The bridge schedule opening instructions have changed. M-F is on demand for the Sunrail that runs every 10 minutes. On the weekend it is open except for twice a day for Amtrak. Bridge phone number is 407-330-0321. The Bridge tender is very pleasant to speak with.

The marina staff was accommodating and well prepared. Jonah was available whenever we needed assistance. The marina is nearly new and well protected. We didn't feel the waves on the inside of the face dock. The town is directly across the street. It's adorable and attractive with an abundance of shops and restaurants. It was very clean and well maintained. It made up for the nearby industry that was overshadowing the beauty and tranquility of the area. We will definitely stop here again and probably try the mooring field next visit.

We anchored here after staying a night in Jekyll Harbor Marina. The Dock Master told us if needed we could pay a $20 Dinghy fee and have access to all of their marina amenities. We used the boat launch directly across the waterway for shore access instead. We weathered a pretty severe thunderstorm with high winds overnight and held without a problem.
