Great stop to visit the Alexander G Bell Museum and take a walk along quaint town. Marina is run by Freight Shed restaurant with helpful staff but not completely tuned into the marina. Floating docks are in nice shape. Tourist area on the pier, so lots of company.

Well run marina with captain's quarters, laundry, fuel, water, pump out. Grocery and liquor store less than a one mile walk. Have been told that grocery store will deliver, but didn't try this time. Gerry, marina manager, is a gem. Willing to drive us 1 1/2 hours to Sydney to pick up rental car. He has a vast knowledge of the lake and can offer suggestions of anchorages.

Large mooring field with limited anchorage in deeper water. Dinghy dock has sections for resident boats and smaller guest dock. Walk to road and able access to Island Explorer bus. Somesville Museum & Gardens features exhibits about Mt Desert Island's work in research labs, science and climate change.

Since our visit was in mid-June and mid-week, many moorings were unused. We anchored in good holding mud with a spectacular sunset view of Maine's coast through the bay's mouth. Dock at northeast side allowed good access for walking our dog. No services, but a quiet spot for the night.

Quiet anchorage surrounded by tree line shore. The wind through the pines offered a wonderful woodsy fragrance. From the courtesy dock, we walked along Holbrook Island's mowed grassy trails. The last owner willed the island to the State of Maine with stipulations that forbids picnic facilities, commercial ventures or vehicles. Anchor held well in muddy bottom.

The dinghy ride into town or to LM's dinghy dock took about five minutes. Staff was efficient and friendly. The town of Camden is quaint and well worth a visit. Great holding with muddy bottom and protected from all sides. Shoal marked with PVC pipe. Depths of over 10'. Dinghied to the back of bay-- also looks like a quiet spot. Two sailboats anchored that might be abandonded. Airforce planes landing in the afternoon were quite loud, but it's interesting to see such impressive machinery. Easy shore access for the dog's 'shore leave.'

The location of this marina is great-- close to the beach and fantastic restaurants. The fixed docks are showing their age, but in reasonable shape. The dock staff seem to try to keep the docks clean from the pelican poop-- but it's a daily task. Pulling into some of the slips in the tidal current can be tricky, so timing the tides could be something to watch. The docks are securely locked at night-- but the fence at the gate isn't quite waist high to deter a determined mischief maker. Groceries are a sturdy walk across the causeway, but there are delivery services that make this chore much easier.

Clean and well maintained docks with lots green space nearby for picnics, dog walking and relaxing. It's a short walk to the municipal park and good quality restaurants in town. Harbormaster John was friendly and helpful. The February 2019 storm has done some damage in the marinas around, but Jacobson's appears to have the work complete in May 2019. High water heights make the fixed dock a bit low, but very manageable.

Lovely facilities in the heart of downtown along the Manistee River made this a pleasurable stay. The new clubhouse is comfortable and clean- wi-fi, televisions-- a quiet place during our visit. The town of Manistee has good dining options a short walk from the marina. Damage from a winter storm took out a number of docks and the parts of the Riverwalk boardwalk. Repairs were underway in May 2019 and looked to be completed soon. Harbormaster Laura was attentive with reservations and confirmations-- returned calls right away and stayed on top of our arrival plans.

Young friendly staff were eager to provide fuel and pump out before assisting with dockage. Being early in the season, they may have been training for the busy summer ahead. They were careful pulling fuel lines over the deck, trying to avoid any mess. The water level is high this early summer, so the fixed docks and wall are very close to the water surface (about a foot at the docks, and less at the wall). The facilities at the marina are outstanding-- clean rest rooms, large fishing cleaning station. Short walk into town for a good number of restaurant choices.

Shipshape facilities and quaint location! Marina is clean and well taken care of. Staff was eager to help with dining options and area attractions. A bit surprised that there wasn't any pump out service-- but two other nearby marinas had facilities. We were too early in the season to see the Water/Light show-- but the brand new grass tiered stadium that replaced the bleachers looks like a wonderful spot for an evening picnic. Easy walk to the beach and downtown areas. The Tri-Cities Historical Museum (free) is a walk through time-- from geological formations, native culture, fur trading, logging, pioneer settlement to the Victorian era. An amazing sea tale of the SS Michigan on the second floor shouldn't be missed.
