It would be real nice to know the draft of the boat boat that “touched bottom” So we would know the depth of the shoaling.

Another plug for Deaton's! Have used them several times over the years for many projects. Always with excellent results.

Is the Coast Guard now assuming that all boats now have AIS, Radar. GPS Chart Plotters, etc.?
Even if they did, how would you know that the wreck was there without the marker? It is (I assume, though I haven't checked) that it is marked on the chart, but charts and GPS locations can be inaccurate. How deep is the wreck?
How about putting an AIS marker there at least so that those of us who do have AIS will know that it is there.

I dropped the hook here a couple of years ago. Had intended to go in to Parks Marina, but was low tide and I was not sure that I could make it in so I stayed here for the night and went in on high tide the next morning. Nice quiet anchorage. Clear sky that night with lots of stars.
