Good holding in sand and light turtle grass in 10 to 15 feetof clear water. There are no moorings, but watch out for the dozen remaining mooring blocks (white concrete blocks about 3 feet on a side) which are about 8 feet below low water betweenthe cell tower and the base of the bay. They were deep enough, but may foul an anchor or chain. Some wake from Sea of Abaco boats a mile away, as well as rude power boaters coming into the bar, but only daytime. Easy access through Grabbers on the beach at base of bay to the East. They didn't challenge us to dock, but we bought a beer anyhow to pay for the dock.

We stayed one night, good holding. No mooring balls anymore but not sure if anchors have been removed which made us hesitant. Anchor did hold well. House construction close by. Quick dingy ride to Grabby's, unfortunately Nippers was closed on a Tuesday. There were only two boats anchored and room for much more. No shelter from W wind.

Good wind protection from North through South East. Would agree that West wind would make anchorage untenable. Due to thick grass in spots, essential to drop anchor in white sandy patches. Mooring balls are gone, but Grabbers has a new dingy dock for easy shore access. No wake protection from boats traversing Sea of Abaco but not too uncomfortable.

The rock in the middle may or may not have a stake -- give it a wide berth. Holding is marginal in thick grass, make sure you anchor sets well; 6-10 feet at mean low water. Easy shore access on the beach next to Grabbers. Some moorings are available here, call Dive Guana on VHF Channel 16 for information.
