Description:
When entering the banks, keep the rocks well to port to remain in the deepest water. Anchoring in the vicinity of Memory Rock for staging to cross back to Florida or for a rest after transiting The Gulf Stream is not recommended as there is almost always a swell, which can be very uncomfortable even if the surface of the water appears glassy. Most vessels using Memory Rock Channel are traveling to/from Mangrove Cay or Great Sale Cay, which are better choices as places to rest.

This is a calm, settled weather day stop for snorkeling or fishing only. No protection from wind, seas, or current. No land in sight other tiny Memory Rock. If staging for a crossing, consider Mangrove or Great Sale.
