The owner or operator of a vessel or floating structure may not anchor or moor such that the nearest approach of the anchored or moored vessel or floating structure is:
1. Within 150 feet of any marina, boat ramp, boatyard, or other vessel launching or loading facility;
2. Within 300 feet of a superyacht repair facility. For purposes of this subparagraph, the term "superyacht repair facility" means a facility that services or repairs a yacht with a water line of 120 feet or more in length; or
3. Within 100 feet outward from the marked boundary of a public mooring field or a lesser distance if approved by the commission upon request of a local government within which the mooring field is located. The commission may adopt rules to implement this subparagraph.

Anchored in 9 feet of water just across from restaurants and bars. Excellent holding in 20-30 kts wind - anchor set quickly and came up completely clean in the morning.

Great spot, good holding & Consistent depth. People shouldn't be surprised about the noise considering the surrounding. Dinghy access at 30°23'34.2"N 86°30'25.5"W

Horrible! Tried to anchor 8 times, finally got it set, then at 3am a small storm came through and our anchor came loose and in 30 seconds we drifted across the SMALL bay and almost hit a dock with a million dollar yacht! Spent the rest of the night awake and tied to a piling. Then, it was Saturday night, so all day and evening hundreds of boats running around this small area, drinking and partying, blowing horns fireworks... too crowded and too many idiots!

I stayed here for one night, and was glad it was available. The access is a little tricky. Those with a deep keel need to keep toward the North (near the bridge), and then either go along the north shore or the south one. In the middle is shallow shoaling. That said, going down the north shore, I grounded over a shoal at about 5 feet, but managed to slide off of it. Beyond the sand bar there is plenty of depth. Bottom is good sand. The spot didn?t provide much protection from wind from the North.

All around it are bars, restaurants, and hotels. Very lively and pretty, and most of them have dock access. Small boats going through the harbor give some wake action, but there weren?t many of them. The tidal current isn?t strong, but when the wind dies down the current will definitely shift you, so choose your spot carefully.

This is a fantastic anchorage! The bottom is sand and the hold is great. All around protection from wind and waves. Harbor entrance is tricky with unlit markers and a large dredge unit, but a great place to overnight. Music from the local bars and restaurants is nice and a quick dingy ride in to entertainment. Fabulous place! Will definitely be back!
