Anchored overnight here in May 2020 for the first time. I didn't fish but there were many dozens of birds fishing and a dozen guys wade fishing so there must be good fishing here. Not terrific wind protection but good enough in breezes from S to NW. Great place to hang out.

This is a beautiful, remote anchorage along the inland side of St. Joseph peninsula. Dinghy into state park to walk hiking trails or access beach, just a short walk away. Snorkeling is good in the shallower areas of the bay. Seek out the sandy areas to drop the anchor as there is some grass in the area. Not good protection though, if the wind kicks up from SE, E, NE, or N. No shopping in the area.
