Faber Cove

Description:
Turn east off the intracoastal north of R"188" and follow channel south of Causeway Island to Faber Cove. Room for 6-8 boats in 8-10'. No place to land a dinghy due to private homes on shore. Dinghy to marina (possible charge) or to nearby boat ramps.
NOTE: Per Florida Statute 327.4109

The owner or operator of a vessel or floating structure may not anchor or moor such that the nearest approach of the anchored or moored vessel or floating structure is:
1. Within 150 feet of any marina, boat ramp, boatyard, or other vessel launching or loading facility;
2. Within 300 feet of a superyacht repair facility. For purposes of this subparagraph, the term "superyacht repair facility" means a facility that services or repairs a yacht with a water line of 120 feet or more in length; or
3. Within 100 feet outward from the marked boundary of a public mooring field or a lesser distance if approved by the commission upon request of a local government within which the mooring field is located. The commission may adopt rules to implement this subparagraph.

Great little hidden cove. We came in here at low tide and saw 7-8' at the lowest point once inside all was good. Anchored in 8' with great holding. Very quiet neighborhood all around the cove of oldest older homes. Many have boats and even some sailboats.

We were going to simply anchor outside where several other boats were anchored. But there was a decent chop and white caps out of the south, so we decided to continue on into this small cove and check it out. There are plenty of big boats in here tied up to docks at the residences. There was only one other boat on the hook in here. The cove is bigger than it looks like on the chart/maps. We fell in love with this place, and we'll be back fer sure!

Very well protected, room for about 6 boats. The wind was 15 kts from the SE, the IWC had a 1-2' chop while this place was flat calm.
Good cell coverage.
Good holding anchor came up caked in modeling clay-like mud

Very private little cove. Homes all around the cove, no shore access. Very soft black mud. Great protection all the way round. We draw 5.5’ and saw 6.5’ at dead low just south of G13. Great discovery.

Excellent anchorage. No issues at all. Pay attention to your chart. Probably not a good place to stay up late partying as it is in a residential neighborhood. I did not go ashore.

Wonderful anchorage, protected all 360 degrees. This is in everyone's backyard so be polite and don't upset the neighborhood. Beware as you round G13 the water becomes shallow as shown on chart. We have taken 6 ft draft boats in here. No shore access, just anchor and sleep well.
