We anchor outside Harbor Town Marina entrance in mud. Good holding. 4 other boats anchored here. Easy access to Harbor Cove Restaurant and Bar to tie up dinghy. Best to eat there or pay at the Marina office for dinghy dock use. They have gas & diesel. Good food at restaurant. Took Uber to Marine Connection Liquidators 1.5 miles away. Also a Publix grocery store .5 miles away.

Excellent anchorage in 10 feet of water. Low or high tide wasn't a problem in March 2017. Current is not that strong. Your boat anchor should have no problem with the 1 knts. We spent 2 nights on the hook. We took the dingy up past the Harbortown Marina on the small river to an embankment that is directly behind Publix. It You can also stop at the marina for a ride or a 5 block walk or stop on the little river where the small beach is and walk 2-3 blocks. We went to the Manatee research center beside the Fort Pierce Marina by dingy. We also went to the Naval and Navy Seal Museum by dingy. The docks to the public access are being rebuilt as of Mar 2017 and a short dock are coming. We tied to a drain culvert at the number 3 Pier in the Wildcat Cove Park. The museum boasts the actual lifeboat of the captured Captain Philips that the movie with Tom Hanks was made off of. Worth the trip.

Kokopelli stores at Riverside marina in the summer, and has to leave on a high tide. To get under the fixed bridge south of here when headed to City Marina, we need to wait for a low tide for our 64' high mast to clear. Holding is good, depth is shallow near the bascule bridge but deep enough near the entrance channel to Cracker Boy/ Harbortown.

I see many boats anchored here but prefer Faber Cove. You can dinghy to Harbortown Marina, pay for dinghy dock, that fee may be applied towards Marina services, gas or ice. Long walk to grocery across US 1.
