11 6 2022 Passed St Andrews sound traveling south and sun was setting. Wanted a quick anchorage for the night with plenty of swing room. Easy fast in and out. Light winds was OK but did get some rolling when currents switched. Not much traffic so wakes were not an issue.

Good overall holding (mud). Far enough off the AICW that wakes were not an issue. No wind protection. The moderate currents 1-2 kts and wind from the south can put the chop on your beam, making for a really rolly night. There are minimal lights from cities making the star gazing awesome. Not crowded. Anchorage only had one other boat. Plenty of room for 10-12 boats.

No protection from wind or waves. With 8 to 12 knot wind. The boat kept rolling and rocking all night. The island shown on chart does not exist

    • WG Editor Comment:

      The island is submerged.

Great anchorage for a calm night. Very exposed to all directions except east. Especially good if you are traveling north and stage here for the evening before crossing St. Andrew Sound on a favorable tide.
