lovely well-protected spot. At high tide anchored in 19'. Held great through the tidal current changes. Dolphins in the area. Very peaceful and only one fishing boat overnight.

Navionics and Aqua Map charts were accurate for the approach, and we were able to drop in the middle of the creek with plenty of swing room. The creek depths are good for several hundred feet up and down the creek and would accommodate multiple boats in a line. The anchor set easily, with no drag, but came up with sticky, gray mud mud when we pulled it up. We have a 125# Mantus anchor and had to break suction to pull it up. The shore isn't accessible and there is minimal wind protection. The current was gentle in both directions. We thought this anchorage was very scenic. In fact, the Admiral says this is her favorite anchorage in this part of SC low country. Easy access in and out, and we had 3 bars T-Mobile 5G service. It was a very comfortable stay and we would anchor there again.

Nice anchorage, easy in/out. Anchor came up clean. Little traffic. Would recommend.

Beautiful anchorage. Dropped hook in 13' (121lb Spade, 130' chain ) to the west side of the creek near the first group of trees in anticipation of 30+ winds from the west the next day. Held easily with peak gusts to 40 reported over at the less protected anchorage a mile or so south. Heavy mud and shells came up with the anchor. No-see-ums came out the second night as the winds dropped, Thermacell kept them out of the boat. ATT cell service was spotty. Popular bird and porpoise hangout.

Deep entrance, anchored in 10ft, some crab pots noted, marsh surroundings, southern exposure - trees noted to W/NW/N/NE (distant) appears better wind protection further up creek, adequate swing room, minimal current noted, good holding, mud bottom, good wake protection from ICW, no shore access noted at anchorage (may be avail. further up creek), cell service intermittent, beautiful anchorage - sunsets, dolphins, ducks, birds, quiet.
