Great holding. We had about 2 days of 25+ knots of wind while anchored here and didn't move an inch. Thick, heavy mud on the anchor when we brought it up. Nice town with great people. Public dinghy dock is easily accessible with a good sized grassy area for dogs right off the dock. Fitness centre in town offers day passes for $10 if you are looking for a shower (towels included).

Dinner at Spoon River was worth the stop. 5 star meal right on the ICW is a great break. Food Lion is 15 minute walk from the free dock near the bridge but 2 cars offered us a ride coming and going. Ace Hardware and a brewery downtown. Thumbs up for Bellhaven.

Belhaven is a cute town with an Ace Hardware, quite a few restaurants, and other small town services. The town provides dinghy docks. We anchored during our last visit in June 2023 between G9 and G11. It's close to the dinghy dock, but watch shoals here. We've also anchored by R12 where you'll find more open water. The town did have a "cruiser loung" but it was closed during our visit. Great stop off the ICW. TMobile service was good.

Anchored out between G9 & G11. Anchor set easily. Easy access to boat ramp / dink dock. Depths 8-10'. Didn't try wifi, and I don't have a pet. However, there seems plenty of room for dogs to run.

Good protection as you can also anchor by the wall on the other side of the anchor, be careful, as the middle is shallow. To reach the wall you will have to turn left at the entrance and follow it. Nice small town with dinghy dock some bars and restaurants.

Great holding and great protection during a NE blow, but can be a little exposed and bumpy with winds above 15 knots from the E to SE and NW. We rode out the remnants of Hurricane Nicole here and saw 30 knots out of the SE, it was pretty bumpy but the anchor never budged. The anchor came up with very thick mud.

Great free dingy dock for getting to town and the streets are very walkable with sidewalks. Spoon River has some of the best food on the whole ICW! The ACE Hardware store is very well stocked and has some marine supplies as well. If you stop between Thanksgiving and Christmas the train display is very cute and worth a stop in!

Groceries are a bit of a walk (a flat 1.5 miles from the dinghy dock) but it's a well-stocked Food Lion. There is an auto parts and liquor store next door to the Food lion as well. A huge shout out to Radcliff Marine who was able to get us a new fuel pump for our dingy in just three days. They were amazing to work with and would highly recommend them if you have a need for outboard parts/maintenance.

Great free dingy dock near town dock and nice little parc with trash and recycling cans. Marinas around won't let anchored boaters use their facilities even for a fee unless you bring your boat to their marina. No cell service with T-mobile so used the library's wifi. Good homemade food (Hatteras style clam chowder, sweet tea and salad dressing) at good price at the Fish Hook Café and cheap burritos at El Mariachi. Holding seemed ok but didn't have strong winds. Anchor and chain came up very muddy.

Stopped for the night with North winds 20mph. Plenty of space in the less protected outer harbor. Good holding in 12 feet of water. Anchorage is inside the town breakwater but still has a bit of a chop when the wind is up. There is morning traffic but most boats were surprisingly polite and came by with little or no wake. Easy in and out. One mile off ICW. We did not go ashore this time but can assure you that, for a small town, they have plenty for the boater in the way of food and shops. Good dinghy dock

Belhaven Visitor Lounge, located across the street from the floating dinghy dock, and associated with the Chamber of Commerce, is a most wonderful example of gracious hospitality and "welcome"! During open hours, a book exchange, free wifi, restroom, and a lovely setting with plenty of sitting room to relax, are enhanced even further by the overwhelmingly friendly offers to help with what else boaters might need. We have visited several times, and during our most recent visit we needed to have a time-sensitive document printed so we could sign and mail it promptly; Diana could not have been more kind, having posted her phone # on the outside door and quickly came to help us take care of that, even though it was outside of their open hours; she is a gem! SV Grace's crew will look for Diana's beautiful smile each time we are there.

Great spot with plenty of room. Did not go ashore so can't comment on those aspects. Good holding and easy access.
