Description:
Just past Briery Hall and Lake Points. Do not venture into East or South Lakes if you draw more than 5 feet; the channel is unmarked and narrow. Although it carries 8 to 10 feet, it shallows to 3 to 5 feet outside of the channel.

It took quite a awhile to pull in here from the ICW, especially since there are a lot of crab pots. We found once we got into South Lake, there were no more pots so we found plenty of room to anchor. This was good expect if there were north wind it would be scary. Took the dog ashore at the little "boat ramp" that the crabbers use (on the map it's called Briar Hall road, be sure to use a light at night, it's dang dark). We enjoyed a very quiet night there.

Info on minefield of crab pots on the way in was accurate. Anchored in about 7'. Holding was good. I wish our crossing of the sound the next day was just as nice!!!

Stay in the middle for the 7 feet deep, very protected and there were no crab pots at all. But to get here you have to pass a mind field of them, there is a wide path in between once you find the pattern

Good holding in 6-8 feet but you will be close to a quarter mile from the shore.
