As has been noted, it is a tricky entry, but we saw 5 feet at lowest at slack tide and once we were in the bay, we saw 8+ feet in full swing. In September of 2023 there were no trot-line buoys at all.

We came in on Monday of Labor Day and Jellyfish Joel's was hopping. It was fun and they closed up around 6pm and the anchorage became serene. It was a great mix of party / quiet atmosphere.

We anchored two days. There was no wind to speak of and temps reached about 91. There is very little to lend itself to any shade in this anchorage and these are not conditions I would suggest for future boaters. It was HOT! But, we stayed in the water and ran our fans and made it through. If you are lucky enough to have a good power source and air conditioning, you'll be fine.

There are three lovely beaches for the dogs to run. The dogs were welcome at the bar and there was a nice walking trail up the driveway of the Yacht Club there.

I highly recommend this anchorage. Beautiful sunsets!

Didn't actually anchor here, but came in to try. There were already a few boats anchored and the rest of the "anchorage" was a maze of trot-line buoys which we did not want to get tangled up in, so we left and went to Wortons Creek to anchor. If you can get one of those coveted spots outside the trot lines, it's probably a great stop.

Excellent place to spend the night on the hook. Large area will hold a lot of boats. Stay away from the inlet to avoid current. Great place for raft up or to get away as a couple.

Abide by entry markers and you're good. Interesting how close to shore the channel runs and that reflects the current. Approach is hard to spot even with binoculars. A hard right turn to enter main entry channel and very narrow. Easy navigation once you can see the channel and approach perspective. Leave room for your turn into the main channel. It's a direct 90 degree turn and parallel to the park beach. Anchorage was awesome during the week. Resaurant not open until Thursdays. Bring your bottle of wine and a little music and you're all set for a peaceful stay.

Fairlee creek is a fun party place to go. Jellyfish Joels is very popular on the weekends and gets crowded. The holding is fair to poor. So do not be surprised if you need to reset your anchor. There are usually nesting Eagles in Fairlee Creek. The current is strong and you'll be fine if you pay attention to your channel markers when entering and leaving the creek.
