Be aware Zahniser's has a note on their dinghy dock that only their customer's can use the dock now. Not that they seem to check.

We anchored here for 2 peaceful nights. We put out 70 feet of chain in 13 feet of water and our Rocna anchor held well. This anchorage is centrally located near many marinas and the Zahniser's mooring field. There's room for about 5 boats here and many other nice anchorages nearby. We dinghied into Zahnisers marina to see the town, visit friends and have a group dinner. There's lots of shopping and both a Walmart and a small West Marine nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

We got there early on weekday and were able to anchor without a problem. Great way to spend an evening watching the activity around Solomons.

A more open anchorage compared to other places in Solomons, decent breeze at night. Shore access for museum members gets you to restaurants. Uber/Lyft to grocery store
