Quiet, lovely cove at State Park. Tree lined on 3 shores. Anchored in 6 ft. Far enough away from river channel, we had no wake from the few small boats we saw. No obvious shore access in this cove.

We spent one night actually in the small cove just before this marked cove. We were there in July 2020 with a heat index of 105 degrees! Beautiful scenic little cove with a private beach. Unfortunately the entire area is filled with sea nettles so couldn't enjoy the beach. There are multiple places in this area to anchor and it's a great place to stop at the mouth of the Potomac. Great Verizon and Google Fi service. After our first evening a gentleman sailed over on a dinghy from the Corinthian YC and told us they had a special visiting rate which included electric, use of their swimming pool, and clubhouse. We stayed there two days. Great club with fantastic members. A good option is you need to beat the heat.
