Deep, so not enough swing room with proper scope. Put out a stern anchor. Anchored in 18' (low tide) Needed a stern anchor to prevent swinging into shore. Cell service (Verizon) was good enough for internet video.

Pulled up a big tree stump with the anchor (it pays to have a good windlass). Got it off without too much trouble.

Just before the Mile 14 CSX RR bridge, this anchorage is as good as it gets on the Tennessee-Tombigbee. . . A few small fishing boats, a few Loopers, all is well.

We had no less than 15'. There is a shore, however, I would worry for pets with the alligator's. 3 bars with Verizon. Very quiet. There are fishing boats that used the channel frequently, so you get some wake from them. Solid holding use back anchor as well. Deep fairly close to shore.
