Description:
Nearer to the Hudson River and just past Saugerties Marina. Dinghy to marinas. Walk up road (west), cross bridge (R9W) and follow road into town (approx. 1 1/4 miles). Many book, antique, gift shops, restaurants, library and Stewart's Ice Cream. Cell service available.

Anchored just past marina in 12ft water anchor held tight nice protected anchorage , watch out for stump closer to north shore just past anchor marker , would stay again we had locals stop by the boat and tell us about town

Deep water 12 - 15 ft. Protected anchorage in a tight canal. Safe but not private. Felt like we were camping in the neighborhood back yard. Not room for more than one boat of our size. Anchor exactly on spot. Only stayed overnight so did not go ashore.

We anchored just past the marina, 13.5', stay on south side. Great protected area with a light house to see at river entrance. Dinghy to small city dock west of anchorage. It is a walk up hill to town but worth the walk to some great restaurants. Stella's Station reasonably priced food and drink. Diamond Mills Tavern $$$ but great food.
