Awesome marina! Stayed here for 2 nights to ride out storms.

Chris, Natalie, Heidi, Joe and Kai were extremely personable, patient and helpful!! Spotless showers and modern laundromat. Floating docks. Easy walk to great restaurants and W Marine. Free shuttle to downtown Cape May.

Located near the bridge in the Cape May back channel, South Jersey Marina caters to larger boats and sport fishermen and sponsors tournaments during the season. The 4 foot clearance on the Lafayette St. Bridge means that there is no through traffic at the marina. Reservations were handled efficiently and the marina was accommodating to our request for early arrival so that we could get a boat bike repaired. The gas dock and the slips behind it are on the creek so, when the tide is running, there is a considerable current to deal with. The slips behind the gas dock are perpendicular to the current flow so it is best to arrive at slack tide. There is plenty of depth and room to maneuver, even for larger boats.

The physical facilities offer everything that you would want. The docks are floating and in excellent condition. Well maintained power, water, and even fuel are available in slip. The office/store is quite extensive and the newly refurbished laundry room has three large capacity washers and dryers: credit card only. Showers are on the second floor and can only be described as "Deluxe." There is a restaurant on site and several others, including the Lobster House, within easy walking distance. Cell service was excellent for all carriers and we had excellent internet connectivity. Marina Wi-Fi was string and fast as well. There is no gated security at the marina but all areas were well lit and there was no sense of concern for safety.

A special mention must be made of the marina staff. Everyone that we came in contact with provided the necessary help in a professional but also friendly fashion. They went out of their way to make our stay more than pleasant and we saw this as they helped two other boats into the marina as well. There is a courtesy car that will take you into town for shopping or food during the day and there is Uber service for evening outings.

The town of Cape May is really quite interesting. It is recognized as the oldest seaside resort in the country with a history going back to the mid-eighteenth century. You could spend a week simply walking around the different area of interests, soaking up the rich history of the place. Cape May is also on the Atlantic Waterfowl Flyway and there are several important wildlife refuges nearby. An Acme supermarket is in town and an ALDI supermarket is five miles north of the marina. The courtesy car will take you and pick you up. We ate lunch downtown at Key West Tacos and had a delicious meal. For us the stay was a surprise. We have been through Cape May several times before but it was always as an overnight stopping point transiting the Atlantic or Delaware Bay. It is worth the time to stop and sample what the town has to offer.

Nice marina, stayed on fuel dock, 20' water at high tide, high floating docks, prices are high but great location and seem to be line for the area.

Very nice marina and staff. We've done the entire Great Loop, and these are the most upscale, clean restrooms we've seen anywhere. They even provide floor mats. It's expensive but a good location. Enjoyed staying here.

If you are planning on visiting Cape May by boat then South Jersey Marina is the right place to transit! The Dock Hands, Marina Store, and the amenities (very clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry facility) where great. No need to move to the fuel dock for diesel and the floating docks are great. Just know that you will have to tie your bow lines to a ring the moves up and down with the tide. Looking forward to our next visit. Oh and they have a shuttle van!

South Jersey Marina is top notch with very nice, clean bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, fuel and a ship's store. The staff are really friendly and efficient. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The marina offers a free shuttle service to downtown where there are many restaurants and shops. The only negative is that the internet service was a little spotty.

Solid concrete dock, with short finger piers, so we had to back in to be able to get on and off the boat. With our single screw and a tight fairway it was a bit of a challenge getting in, but the dockhand knew his stuff and was very helpful in getting us in with no drama.

Their showers and shower room are quite good - among the best we've seen in any of the 100 or so marinas we've been to.

They offer a free shuttle service to town, although it is a pleasant mile and a half walk to get there. We walked to town, explored a bit, bought groceries at Acme Supermarket and then called for the shuttle to pick us up from there.

Stayed on fuel dock, prices for dock and fuel are super high but seem to be in line with area competition. Nice facility with floating docks and good power. Water depth is good. They have shuttle that will run you to town, grocery store, etc. Rented a car from Enterprise and they will pick you up and return you to Marina. Staff is very helpful.

Everything was great. Chris made sure our stay was just like home. We joined a dock party for a weekend cookout and everyone made us feel at home. Kids loved it as well

I had a maintenance issue and ended up spending 10 days at South Jersey Marina. They were wonderful with great customer service. Chris, the dockmaster and all the dock hands, would do whatever they could to make it work. A little on the expensive side, but the service made it worthwhile.

Lots of good restaurants within a very short walk.

Good marina with helpful skilled dock hands. If coming from Delaware Bay take it slow in the channel and pay attention to the markers. Not the best marina for dogs. It is a long walk across a parking lot to a small square of foliage. Many restaurants within walking distance.

One of our favorite places to stop in NJ. It always seems something goes wrong with the boat and we always seem to end up here. This trip was no different as our Port Engine would not come online causing a short 2 hour delay but as always help was not that far away.

The Marina staff is very helpful getting us into a slip this visit vs a side 2 tie up. Wind & current were strong but we made it.

There are several places to eat within walking distance to choose from depending upon your taste. We always seem to end up at the Lobster House.

The marina has a great restaurant & gift shop and they try to always match West Marine prices on boat supplies.

I’ve been a customer here for over 25 years and highly recommend SJM

The facilities are wonderful. You fuel up while you are at your slip. Staff are helpful. Great ship store at the head of the dock, and tons of restaurants within 5 minute walk. A Wawa is a short walk away as well.

The marina is unique in my experience. They are sold out almost all the time due to their location to down town Cape May. They make it very clear to you that that is the case. I was left with the feeling on several occasions that if I don’t like it , fine then move on. We were moved on two occasions in our 3 night stay to accommodate other vessels. No internet. So so showers (they were nice once but now are getting tatty, don’t drain properly etc.) The docks are floating however a lot of loose planks. The young dock hand crew are excellent, know their business and are eager to help. Power and water are fine. Difficult to see how this is an over a $3.00 per foot (with power) marina without internet and warrants a 5 star rating. Falls short of 5 stars by quite a bit. The take it or leave attitude towards the end of our stay will sadly be our lasting memory of the facility.

This is the way its supposed to be; great staff, location, and all amenities ,,, except a restaurant. Offered ride to town, assisted in obtaining rental car. Nothing was to much and super easy in and out.

Some friends and I came down via the ICW for the night and kept the boat @ SJM. What a great choice. These guys treated us great from the reservation taken over the phone, right up to when we checked out after paying for some gas. The shuttle to and from our hotel was one of the many perks we found @ SJM. Special thanks to Tom for helping me come up with a fitting name for the boat!
