Fantastic marina with great rates. Nice bar in the clubhouse and very friendly people on site. Fantastic restaurants within walking range. John was so helpful to deal with in terms of dockage and route. We're glad we stayed there.

John Calascibetta is a wonderful AGLCA Harbor Host. He provided detailed and helpful arrival instructions, and he and two club members met my wife and me at the dock to assist. Nice and secure floating transient dock, with clean showers/bathrooms. Nice restaurants within walking distance.
What made our visit so memorable is the phenomenal help John and a couple of club members provided to assist us in our encounter with a kayaker in distress. Long story, but in rescuing the kayaker who was holding on to his overturned kayak in very cold water, one of our dock lines became entangled with the kayak and our boat rudder. John made a phone call and arranged to have a diver come to our boat that afternoon to free the kayak and our rudder. John and two club members stayed on site to assist for over an hour. Wonderful people all!

Best deal in New York for AGLCA and Yacht Club members. John is the best. Nothing fancy, but safe, secure and totally adequate floating dock facility with clean bathrooms and public buses to the city.

Looper friend John met us at Great Kills Yacht Harbor and caught our lines. He and the club are very friendly and accommodating. They offer a great rate ($2/foot) for yacht club members and Loopers. This Marina has a nice yacht club building with clean bathrooms and showers (but no laundry). It's a short walk to town where there are stores and restaurants. You can also take the SIM1 /SIM1c Staten Island express bus or the Staten Island Ferry into Manhattan. Nice!

Hard to believe that there are only three reviews for this amazing facility. John is incredibly welcoming and helpful. We had a tough situation with our dog and John was a big help in solving our issue. Great communication and very helpful in bringing us into our slip. Showers and facilities are neat and well cared for. Great stop before you head up the Hudson.

This is an excellent staging area for sightseeing in New York. All the club members are friendly and willing to help you out however they can. The down side was no laundry or pump out, but that is what is reflected in their listing. Be sure to contact John and not the club itself.

This is a very protected harbor.

The wifi is a bit weak, but it is usable. That is the only negative.

John is the biggest positive. He is the friendliest marina-guy we have met, even though he is not an employee--just a club member. In fact, all the folks we met at the dock were great; friendly and very anxious to be of help.

The docks are floating, the electric is good. There are several restaurants within 1/4 mile. The bus to NYC stops 1/2 mile away. The train to the Staten Island ferry is about 1 mile away, but John will gladly give you a ride to the station.

The club has a clubhouse with a bar. Tap beer is $2, and well drinks are $3. What a deal!!

We will definitely stop here again. You shouldn't miss this place.
