Oct 31 2023 Weather forecast was for strong NE winds and small craft warnings so we wanted a safe place to moor to sit out the storm. We stayed two days. Not having to deal with current once inside was a plus. Also buildings and trees damped the wind. No current in the marina, but there is a shoal to the left going in from the harbor. The California Dreaming dock there can dry at low tide. Facilities were decent but no laundry. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They have a pump out boat which was also a plus. We took an Uber into town and enjoyed our stay in Charleston.

This marina is just off the Ashley River and is protected from the currents. Friendly staff. Steve is the man! Walking distance to a nice restaurant, California Dreaming, with good view of the marina and the Ashley River.
