The Marina ok. The people are nice too. You can do alot worse. But dock fees are $4.25 per foot! I'll try to find somewhere else to stay next time

The marina has great, helpful, and polite staff. They helped us tied up and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As far as the marina itself it's definitely seen better days: many docks are in despair, screws popping out of the dock boards, channel markers missing and replaced with floating buoys. Probably the most important thing is the condition of the channel: we hit something on the bottom and it wasn't sand or mud: both props thrashed and need to be replaced. I would think that for close to 5 bucks a foot the property would be in much better shape.

Pretty place. No WiFi at all. None. No Internet. No TV. Marina blames provider. Provider blames marina.

Our first transient stop on southbound trips, and last stop before getting home when returning on the northbound leg. Easy in and out from the AICW (just mind the wind/crabbing as the channel is a bit thin. Professional dock hands. Nice pool, shower and laundry facilities. Docks are in great shape. Quick fueling and pump out before getting into our slip. Ask about fuel and slip discounts. Strong WiFi signal supports streaming. Ensure the marina desk calls the community gate house and give the guard your name if you intend to Uber/Lyft out into town. Inform your ride share driver to use the south (Grand Harbor Blvd) - it's the manned/guard gate.

Great marina, stayed here last year and again this year. Only concern and it is a big one is that we went in under a strong north wind and our rear port rudder caught on something near the second to last south piling going in. Then the boat swung beamside to the wind and waves and we got bashed around until sea tow could come and pull us off. The mistake I made was trying to keep center of boat in center of channel, but should have hugged the north side with the bow keeping rudders and keels as close to center as possible.

Very good marina. Plenty of depth coming in and at slips. My depth gauge is configured for what's below the prop, and says 2.8 at dock at low tide.
Staff was helpful getting in the slip.
Basin is protected from any wind waves you would see on the ICW. Very quiet night in the slip.
They have a pool (always a plus), and restrooms and showers are clean and roomy.
    Laundry facilities also excellent.
I'ts in a private gated community so it's a truck to get to shopping, but not excessive.
Only negative is the condition of the dock boards. Old and some of them are starting to split. B dock has been replaced with the synthetic board. I would assume B dock is next.

The water levels in the area can vary by up to 2 feet due to wind tides. A good measure of the general water level can be found by looking at the height boards at the famous low bridge at Wabasso. If the height board shows 64 ft, then the approach depth to Loggerhead Marina is 6.0 MLLW using the Wabasso, Indian River tide station as the reference for tide.

    Here's a summary:
Height board = 65 feet, Loggerhead approach depth = 5.0 MLLW
Height board = 64 feet, Loggerhead approach depth = 6.0 MLLW
Height board = 63 feet, Loggerhead approach depth = 7.0 MLLW
Height board = 62 feet, Loggerhead approach depth = 8.0 MLLW

As an aside, 65 feet of clearance on the height board at Wabasso Bridge is rare but can happen in strong north winds. The usual clearance at the Wabasso Bridge is 63 to 64 feet.

All you need to do on the approach is stay centered in the well-marked channel but if you want a track, it's available at
    https://bobicw.blogspot.com/p/bob423-long-tracks.html
Be sure to not let current or wind push you outside the channel.

A great stop, top notch service and facilities. The entrance is easy. I found 7.0 MLLW on the way in my paying attention and staying exactly in the middle of the channel, splitting all markers.

It's easy to find less water by straying from the middle of the entrance channel. Current and wind can set you if your attention strays.

You can now dock side to on the new docks and the marina is totally protected from waves in its own basin. They have OnSpotWiFi and the dockhands are excellent.

Wow what a great marina and location, Teri was fantastic to work with in getting a slip and working with our timeline. We intended to stay one or two nights and ended up staying almost a week. The dock hands were very accomodating and professional. I dont give 5 stars on many things, but will on this marina. We will be back!

The marina has new docks and for my transient stay, I had a side to dock. Docking could not have been easier. There is no current inside and you're partially shielded from the wind by surrounding houses. The WiFi worked and it was quiet at night. I found 6.8 MLLW in the channel to the marina but you have to carefully stay in the middle of the fairway, it's easy to drift out of the middle. Although I saw 6.8 MLLW, it was at a time when the Wabasso Bridge showed only 63 ft on the height boards. With a reading of 64 ft, the 6.8 MLLW turns into 5.8 so look at the Wabasso bridge height boards to predict the water depth on the way in (the tide at the time was only 0.1 ft, the wind driven tide has a greater effect - which can be gauged by noting the height boards at the Wabasso bridge).

Great marina to come to if you need do some work on your boat yourself, or just get some rest in nice and safe surroundings, as there is not much else to do here if you don’t have a car. Docking is easy, staff is very helpful, boaters are friendly, laundromat great, pool nice. Marina is beautiful if you like the painted condo, palm tree look; you feel like you are living in the suburbs. However, is no downtown to walk to, no decent restaurants to walk to, no farmers market etc. but you do have the ubiquitous Publix (as always in FL) 1 mile away, located right outside the gated compound in which this marina resides. We will come again in the future when I need to work on my boat’s brightwork where I just don’t have the discipline to do so in more fun surroundings.

Formerly Suntex. Well-marked channel with good depth. G did a great job helping us fuel, dock and tie up. Competitive diesel pricing. Sturdy fixed docks. Clean with nice pool and protected easy off the ICW. Nothing close by the marina. Wifi a little weak. Prefer it to the more crowded and tired Vero City marina.

I stayed here from early January, 2018 thru late April. The staff has been especially helpful to me all winter, through my husband's illness and my own injury. This is a very nice marina. Facilities are clean and well kept. Other boaters are very friendly and helpful, and the staff is terrific.

The staff graciously handled our last-minute request for dockage. A very protected marina, located in a beautiful planned community. Loved walking through the neighborhoods on our way to a nearby strip mall. Loaner bikes available to help with provisioning at the local Publix. We echo the other sentiments regarding the well cared-for showers, lounge and pool. Liked it so much that we stayed an extra day. Entry channel may be considered narrow by some, but as of this writing it is well marked.

Great marina, nice facilities, clean showers, great boaters lounge, beautiful pool. Fixed docks but not much tide. Easy bicycle ride to Publix CVS and some other shopping, nice bikes provided by marina. Channel is NOT 6 ft deep, more like 5.5. We left at high tide and had to be towed out by TowBoat.

BEWARE! We entered the channel to the marina. We had to slow down for a rowing crew that cut in front of us. We were pushed to the south edge of the channel by a strong current and NW wind. All of a sudden we hit something and were unable to move. It was the submerged concrete daymark # 11. We had to be towed to Ft. Pierce having sustained a bent prop. Evidently the marker has been down for some time . There is nothing to mark this hazard, nor did anyone warn us of its existence. The maximum depth of the channel is 6' with solid rock under the layer of silt. The daymarks have been tipped over twice in the last year because there is no way to anchor the posts on the underlying rock. We will NEVER stay here again. Marina took no responsibility whatsoever.

    WG Editor Comment:
Marina Response: We have barely any current the wind was blowing that day. I advised him to stay center channel to stay in safe water. He failed to follow my instructions. Please see the attached picture of his vessel clearly not in the center of the channel. In fact it is out of the channel. He wants us to pay for not following the directions and leaving the channel. He has bashed us on every site he can. Picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks for the chance to set it straight.

My home port. Excellent services for long-term and transient boaters (no haulout or boatyard but many mobile services in the area). Fuel and pump out available during operating hours. Very safe marina located in gated community. Shopping and restaurants available about two miles away. Relax by the pool or Captain's lounge while doing laundry on site. Excellent stop for loopers going north near Vero Beach.

Located in man made lagoon, great for hurricane protection. Pool and clubhouse. Long bike ride to new shopping center, about 2 miles, half through gated community and half on county paved road.
