The Tides Inn is a Virginia tradition. If you haven't been it should be on your "bucket list" by land or by sea. We stopped in for lunch (best to make a reservation, but not required) at the Chesapeake Restaurant. I recommend their Reuben sandwich. Our wait lady was Faye who could not have been more delightful, polite and professional. Virginia hospitality at its best! Hail Tides Inn Marina on 16 and switch to 09. They welcome you to their Day Dock again a call ahead for such visits is recommended due to limited space. Marina Manager and staff are courteous, helpful and capable dock hands. Five minutes after departure, we lost our starboard engine. Mike and staff welcomed us back to the dock while we assessed our needs. When it became evident we would require an overnight stay, they worked us into their schedule and a slip with shore power and even a pump out! Hands Andrew and Thomas enthusiastically provided assistance throughout our stay to assure our comfort and needs were met. We highly recommend a visit to "The Tides". Oh, and if you do plan for an over night or two, bring your clubs, they've got a great little par 3 course!

Outstanding stay! We had a pet emergency and called ahead. They were waiting for us and shuttled us to Bayside Vet, where Dr Casey took awesome care of our dog. The staff was always helpful, service at hotel was great, food at the main restaurant was divine. We enjoyed the pool and the wine cruise of the river and all of the facilities. Can't wait to return! Such a treasure!

This is a resort. It is pricey.
This is such a nice place with so much to do that you have to stay for several days. Dockhands are always available and ready to help. Easy access to pumpout.
It includes your basic electric, bag of ice, morning newspaper, nightly smores by the fire on the beach, croquet, tennis, shuffleboard, towels, We played golf (free par 3 course---bring your own balls), went paddle boarding, kayaking, biked into Irvington---- all included. Wives enjoyed yoga and the mixology class where they learned how to make the Lancaster Lemonade

This is a superb destination. A first class resort and marina with a staff dedicated to extraordinary customer service. Took the classic yacht there a few weeks back. They found a slip for me last minute and were on hand to help. Stormy the dockmaster is always accommodating. We love the Tides.

Took a trip up the Rappahannock for a visit to the Tide's Inn. I called ahead to plan a shuttle to run us over to the golf course. What an experience! Pulled up to the dock around 8:45, Stormy (the Dockmaster) shuttled us up to the Inn where a shuttle was waiting to take us a few miles up the road to the course. Finished up and had a great meal overlooking Carter's creek (the Oyster Po'boy was incredible). The staff stepped up to make this a great experience. And we weren't the only boat there doing the exact same thing on a beautiful Saturday morning / afternoon! Worth the side trip to visit the Tide's!
